Have You Met Renee?
I am Renee Collymore,
A Leader Who Will Get It Done and a proud candidate for Democratic State Committee/District Leader, 57th Assembly District. I understand what its like not growing up in a wealthy household. My dad, was a union man and worked as a Skycap at JFK Airport and my mom cleaned the bathrooms of our neighbors, so that they could save enough money to eventually open a small Mom & Pop business, working 16 hr days, everyday of the year…their sacrifices paved the way for me to work on my passion which is Public Service.
My entrance into Public service was at the age of 16, when my father and I started a Neighborhood Watch Patrol in the height of the dangerous Crack Era. We went on to start a Not-for-Profit called Putnam Avenue Community Service Inc, Later, I then Founded the Parliament Democratic Club to bring political empowerment to the disenfranchised members of our community. I serve on the Advisory Board of The Brooklyn Hospital,
